VAT REFUND FOR TOURISTS



Who can claim VAT refunds?

How to shop and get your VAT refund ?

  1. Shop from the storers displaying "VAT Refund for Tourists" sign.
  2. Spend at least 2,000 Baht (VAT included) per store per day.
  3. Total amount of purchase must be at least 5,000 Baht (VAT included).
  4. Present your PASSPORT and complete your VAT Refund Application Form for Tourist (P.P. 10) at the store on the purchase date.
  5. Attach the ORIGINAL TAX INVOICE to P.P. 10.

How to claim a VAT refund?

At an international airport.

  1. Before checking in, show your purchases completed P.P. 10 and tax invoice(s) to the Customs Office.
  2. Hand - carried luxury goods, such as jewelry, gold ornament, watch, glasses and pen must be re-inspected at the VAT Refund Office after passport control.
  3. Request your VAT refund at the VAT Refund Office.
REMARK    If you are in a hurry, after all inspections made by the Customs and Revenue officers, you may either drop your application form (P.P. 10 and tax invoice(s)) into the box located in fromt of the VAT Refund Office or mail them to:
VAT Refund for Tourist Office, Revenue Department of Thailand, 90 Phaholyothin 7, Phayathai, Bangkok 10400 Thailand.
