Thai restaurants interested in participating in the Thai Brand logo "Authentic Thai Cuisine" project, should meet the following criteria:

There are eight basic criteria that must be met as follows:
  1. The Thai restaurant must have been in business for no less than one year.
  2. The restaurant must be open to customers for no less than five days per week.
  3. The restaurant must provide areas with various facilities such as dining facilities. kitchen, restrooms, etc., according to health and safety requirements.
  4. The restaurant must be certified by major credit card companies, e.g. American Express, Visa, etc.
  5. The restaurant must employ an experienced Thai head chef or a chef with no less than one year experience and training in preparing Thai Cuisine.
  6. The restaurant must use an adequate proportion of Thai raw materials and equipment for preparation of Thai dishes.
  7. The restaurant must provide no less than six types of Thai dishes from six menu categories specified in item 6 of application form.
  8. The restaurant must be inspected and approved by officials of the Thai Trade Center or Office of the Commercial Affairs.
Approved and certified use of the "Thai Brand" logo is valid for up to three years. After this period the restaurant must then submit a new application for further use of the said logo.
