Consul-General Narong Sasitorn Biography 
Consul-General Narong Sasitorn is a career diplomat. Prior to his assignment in Chicago, he served in various offices in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2005-2006, he was a chief of Staff to His Excellency Dr. Kantathi Suphamongkhon, then, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand His previous portfolio includes Director of East Asian Affairs, Director of Personnel and Director of Policy and Planning. During 1987-1991, he served as a Second Secretary in the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations in New York. Later, he was assigned to the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China during 1994-1997. Consul-General Narong Sasitorn finished his Bachelor and Master degree in Political Science (International Relations) from Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. He is married to Mrs. Chantana Sasitorn and had two children, Mr. Sira, 17 and Miss Sirada, 15. |
